Who We Are

Rooted in heritage,
built for belonging

The Afghan National Cultural Society (ANCS) was founded by Afghans, for Afghans, in pursuit of our social goals and efforts to work for the integration and unity of Afghans in British Columbia.

We are a volunteer-led non-profit that brings together newcomers, established families, elders, and youth to preserve our language, celebrate our traditions, and support one another as we build our lives in Canada. Whether you've been here for decades or just arrived, ANCS is your home away from home.

  • Cultural festivals & national day celebrations
  • Newcomer settlement support & orientation
  • Language, arts, and heritage programs for youth
  • Community gatherings, Eid events, and mentorship circles

Culture & Heritage

Music, poetry, calligraphy, and language programs that keep Afghan tradition alive for the next generation.
